Short and atmospheric intro followed by almost 50 minutes of energetic, freezing, highly infectious black metal that's mainly defined by Lethian's powerful, emotive and rasping vocals as well as a plethora of swirling, fantastic riffs interwoven with simple, but stunning melodies! Dedicated to the Night is a prime example of all these elements coming together and being further enhanced by Matunos' clearly discernable bass and Farliath's ferocious drumming! What a gem! Favorite track: Dedicated to the Night.

sachavonkarl74 German, "Norwegian"-like raw BM, female-fronted band performing melodic and raw black metal relating to the northern myths, reminding me very much of Swiss BM Malphas, also a female-fronted black metal band. I will see them again in Aarburg at the Noche Oscura in February 24. Been listening to it non-stop, the more I do, the more I like it !!! Favorite track: Dedicated to the Night.

    After the first 666 copies of Nornír's new album sold out a month after the release date, we make another edition available. This one comes on ultra clear/black marble vinyl in gatefold cover with download, and is limited to 333 copies.

    Unfortunately the ultra clear/black marble of this edition looks quite similar to the ultra clear/black galaxy of the first pressing. The pressing plant sort of botched it, since the marble edition should have turned out much lighter than galaxy. There are, however, subtle differences that are owed to the different pressing technique, and we tried to highlight these in the photos.

    So please be advised that the ultra clear/black galaxy edition is sold out from us and all LPs that are shipped from now on will be the ultra clear/black marble edition, even though to the untrained eye it may look like the earlier ultra clear/black galaxy pressing. Feel free to compare the two images here on our Bandcamp page to see the difference.

"Skuld" is the band's highly anticipated second full length, and the culmination of the Three Nornes trilogy.

The album continues in the tradition of "Verdandi", with classic, raw yet melodic Norwegian Black Metal interspersed with the occasional Norwegian Folk parts, and even sees the band perform a cover of Wardruna’s “Helvegen” as if it belonged right on this album.

“Skuld” marks the third and final chapter in Nornír’s trilogy of “de tre nornene” (“The Three Nornes”) of Norwegian mythology, whereby Skuld stands for the future, or that which shall be. Thus, the overarching theme of the album is the passing away of all life, described from several viewpoints in the different songs, which ultimately culminates in this world's impending downfall.

During their nine years of existence the band has developed into one of the leading underground Black Metal forces in Germany, and their new album showcases the growth in songwriting and musicianship that Nornír gained during their countless jaw-dropping live performances in the past years.
